The core principle of a reward plugin is sound: “Points are awarded for purchases and then applied to future purchases to provide a discount.”
The current issue is that the system insists on rounding the number of points applied to the nearest total currency unit at checkout – for example, $2.40 worth of points yields a $2 discount (disappointing for the customer), whereas $5.50 worth of points yields a €6 discount (an irritating loss for the storeholder).
Is there a method to modify the precision with which the plugin performs this rounding off? Such that everything is rounded to the nearest unit.
Your point is absolutely valid. I mean how do you decide when to switch up the $3.6 to $4 or $3.2 to $3? Specifically when it comes to the prices & points of products in decimals. But as an admin, you can decide whether you want to round up or round down these points.
Go to your admin dashboard > Navigate to WooCommerce > Points and Rewards
In the general settings, find Points Round Off
If you set it to round up, it will upgrade it to the higher number automatically. While if you round down the settings the number will degrade to a lower value.
Additionally, you can change these settings whenever you want.
